Just knowing what your swing speed is can be helpful, but seeing how your swing looks at different speeds can help you improve your game by seeing what works for you to increase your distance, and more importantly, what doesnt work for you. Using the Swing Speed App, you will be able to see how your swing looks as you try new things and see whether those things result in increased swing speed and distance.
Armed with the knowledge of your swing speed, you can gain confidence that you should be able to carry that hazard next time, get fitted properly for clubs, practice techniques that will increase your swing speed and distance, and compare yourself to other golfers. Instead of relying on devices that measure your speed and give you a simple numeric readout, with the Swing Speed App not only will you get your swing speed, but you can analyze and review your swing as well as share images of your swing with your friends. The Swing Speed App uses the iPhone 3GS, iPod 4 or iPhone 4 videocamera and proprietary algorithms to calculate a golfers swing speed very precisely. Start swinging smarter, not harder.

Could not get it to work properly. Impossible to get the right setting. Waste of money in my opinion.
What a fun app! My buddies and I use my 3GS phone at the range or on the course to find out our Swing Speeds. Now instead or hitting balls into the screen at the golf store, we can use it in real conditions and connect Swing Speed and ball flight. It is also great to see how my swing looks. You can replay your swing in slow motion to see if your technique is solid or not. It has definitely helped me with my swing. At first, it takes a little practice to get the golfer and the ball in the right positions on the screen. Overall the app is straightforward and fun. Not bad for a $10 app. I highly recommend it.
Tried this app alongside Trackman. I am a 31 yr old, 6 hdcp golfer. Swing Speed with TM was accurate 106 mph. This terrible app said 68 mph! Readings way off, nearly impossible to get golfer in window to film, doesnt let you skip forward or backward in video, cuts off top half of club for taller players, cannot use alone... I could go on and on. Dont waste your money. Worst $10 Ive ever spent!
